The NEC DSX VoIP system is going to be most cost effective for offices that need phones connected to the NEC DSX Phone System that are Off-Site in either a second office or at a users homes. The NEC DSX Phones can connect to the office NEC DSX Phone System via an existing internet connection. The best way to connect the VoIP phones between sites is with the use of what is known as a VPN (Virtual Private Network). When a VPN is configured the VPN creates a secure connection via an existing internet connection. An NEC DSX VoIP phone can connect via an existing internet connection via open internet ports, Not Recommended. It is recommended to have an advanced internet connection with 500k up internet speed otherwise the quality of the phone call my suffer.
